The Center For Disease Control has issued a warning about vaping. As of August 27, 2019 there have been 215 reported illnesses across the country. This new number is an increase of 62 cases from the prior week, but it is only the tip of the iceberg since more cases are being investigated.

The patients are mostly teenagers and young adults. The first symptoms are usually breathing difficulties, coughing, chest pain and fatigue. These gradually get  worse often resulting in hospitalization.. Many of these patients needed assisted ventilation and possibly intubation. There has been at least one death.

The common denominator in these illnesses has been vaping. The exact agent causing these problems has not been identified The CDC has advised that people should stop the use of e-cigarettes while the investigation is continuing. Our advice is to stop and never vape again. This is true for you and for your children.
