Chick-fil-A Is Giving Away Free Food in Honor of Cow Appreciation Day

By | July 9, 2019

Let’s be honest. This past weekend, you probably splurged a bit because um, America. Duh. And while that’s totally great, we’re guessing you’re not going to pass up a free meal this week. Luckily, Chick-fil-A has come through with an offer for customers to grab a free meal this Tuesday, July 9.

In honor of their fifteenth annual Cow Appreciation Day, the fast food chain is encouraging people to turn to their chicken-filled menu. While we’re not sure this discount poultry extravaganza will apply to the whole menu, breakfast essentials (like the chicken biscuit) and lunch items (like the chick-n-strips) will definitely be included. And for the youths? Chicken nuggets are free, of course.

According to Business Insider, almost 2 million people participated in Cow Appreciation Day in 2018, and we’re sure the turn out is going to be even greater this year. Why wouldn’t it be?

That said, there is a catch here. Given that so many people participated last summer, Chick-Fil-A is requesting that customers come correct.

…And by correct, I mean wearing a cow costume. You know, to really show your support for the cows. OK, fine. You don’t have to wear a full costume, but if you want free chicken, you’ve got to show up to the restaurant in any kind of cow-themed attire or accessory. If you’re still confused by what exactly “cow-themed attire” means, scroll through this look book of last year’s costumes.

Last thing—remember that this free meal deal ends at 7 p.m. tomorrow, so don’t be late! OK, that’s it, now go enjoy your free chicken.
