Chris Pratt Thinks Star-Lord Was an Idiot in 'Avengers: Infinity War' Too

By | February 6, 2019

One of the most surprising things about Avengers: Infinity War when it arrived in April 2018 was the way that the public turned on everyone’s favourite loveable scamp, Guardians of the Galaxy‘s Star-Lord.

Chris Pratt’s character was basically blamed for Thanos being able to erase half of all life in the universe, thanks to his freaking out about Gamora’s death during the battle on Titan and preventing his allies from capturing the Infinity Gauntlet.

His Jurassic World co-star Bryce Dallas Howard thought that was pretty absurd – but when we asked the Lego Movie 2 star if he was nervous about sequel Avengers: Endgame‘s arrival, we learned that he wasn’t impressed by Star-Lord’s actions either.

“Oh no, I’m not nervous at all about Endgame coming out,” he told Digital Spy. “I think it’s totally true, and I personally feel the same as everyone else about Star-Lord. But I know things, OK? And I feel like audiences are gonna be blown away when this next film comes out.”

“Some forgiveness might be in your future?” his Lego Movie 2 co-star Elizabeth Banks asked.

“I don’t even know,” Pratt said. “Even if it’s not, it was worth it, because this is an experience for fans that truly never will be matched again in the history of cinema.”

Bold words, Chris. Bold words indeed.

Pratt has previously said that he thinks Star-Lord “reacted in a way that’s very human” in Infinity War. The Lego Movie 2 will be released on February 8. Avengers: Endgame is out on April 25 in on April 26.
